Driver never finishes download on safari
After restarting my machine twice for the install to do it's thing, I went back to the DSA in the system tray to Check For New Drivers , and behold the endless scanning was yet again prominent I cannot get anywhere from this Scanning your system screen, again.
So, I've managed to install a new update albeit manually , and I'm back at the same place as before; endless scanning.
Hi MrMinks, Thank you very much for letting us know those updates, I just received an update on this matter. Thank you very much for sharing your files as well. Just to let you know, our Developer Team has reviewed the documents and they determined that this is actually a known issue that will be addressed in our upcoming driver release at the end of January.
Once installed, you should be able to successfully re-scan after that update. I just wanted to inform you that there will be a new driver release at the end of the month with the fix for this issue. Please watch the Community Announcements for the specific day it is released and then re-try the scan then. The new version will be released next January 28th. Thanks for the information and notification. I'll be sure to watch out for that January 28th update. For those of us who were having a problem with this earlier, it was determined to me something in the way it was handling some Seagate External drives.
Note it is a bit odd in the install as their is a message about uninstalling, But it now seems to work. Perfect, excellent, no problem at all, take your time to test the new driver release and once you get the chance please let us know the results on this thread so, if necessary, we can further assist you with this topic.
Please install it, and if the problem persists after that please provide the SSU report so we can verify further details about the components in your platform, please check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":.
When an Internet connection is unstable, it may disconnect and reconnect intermittently. Even a disconnection lasting a fraction of a second can cause the failure of a file download. For users who commonly encounter intermittent connectivity issues or download failure, a download manager may help.
A download managers is a third-party application that monitors, and if needed, resumes a download from where it stopped previously.
There are hundreds of download managers, including many that are free. I have tried downloading at 3 different physical locations across the UK, downloading into several different folders, and using both a PC, and a Mac, using Firefox, Safari. I have noticed this problem more and more of late. Minor Issues: These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems or opportunities for improvement. Try restarting in Safe Mode. It will be slow, but does it still crash?
If things look ok but slow in Safe Mode, it could be a software conflict. User profile for user: Gregory Kane Gregory Kane.

Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to Princess Mat's post on November 16, Hi There was no error message. I ran the troubleshooter and there was nothing found There are now further problems, a feature update also says it requires a restart after multiple restarts and it also downloads and prepares for install multiple times. In reply to rml's post on November 20, If you were not able to download it in the Update History , we recommend manually downloading it from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Type the update that you want to install in the Search box and start downloading it.
